What is a "Brocki"?

"Brocki" (pronounced "BROCK-ee") is the Swiss-German word for a second-hand shop or thrift store. In Switzerland, Brockis are beloved community institutions where people buy and sell pre-loved items, from furniture and clothing to books and household goods.

The concept is similar to:

  • Kringloopwinkel in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Friperie in France
  • Brockenhaus in Germany
  • Thrift stores and charity shops in English-speaking countries
  • Second-hand shops and vintage stores worldwide

Our Story

GloBrocki started with a simple observation: second-hand shops are everywhere, but finding them is hard. Each country has its own name for these stores, and most don't have an online presence.

We set out to change that. Starting in Switzerland with traditional Brockis, we began building the world's largest directory of second-hand shops. Today, we're expanding globally, partnering with shops in Europe, Asia, and beyond.
